During the Spanish Civil War the Republicans have crossed the Ebro River and taken territory. Now, the Fascist side goes on the offensive to recoup the lost lands.
Joanet and Toni are two young soldiers from The Fifth of the Bottle recruited to fight in The Battle of the Ebro.
They are part of Spanish republican group soldiers who have to travel the lands of southern Catalonia to reinforce positions. The inclement and cruelty of the war make Joanet change sides. On his way appears Iber, a mysterious man who will change his destiny.
