Santi Valldepérez i Cruañes

Audiovisual director and producer, communication consultant and teacher.

Graduate in Audiovisual Communication (UPF) and Master in Communication Management (BSM-UPF). He is a European graduate in documentary production through the Eurodoc training programme (2016). He has studied highly specialised courses in television programming, transmedia communication and in the field of documentary filmmaking at the Ateliers Varan in Paris (2007), at the San Antonio de los Baños Film and Television School in Cuba (2002) and at the Complutense University in Madrid (2001). He has also attended seminars by directors such as Patricio Guzmán or José Luis Guerín (2012).

He is a founding partner and manager of Filmsnòmades, an audiovisual production company. Since 2008 he has been producing television reports, creative documentaries, advertising spots and museum works. The documentary J. Pau, Jesús & Rock’n’Roll (2019), co-produced with Televisió de Catalunya, is his latest feature film.

In 2017, his interactive documentary Buda, l’illa del Delta (www.budafilm.com) won the Fundació del Món Rural Award for best journalistic work. His production Buda, l’illa del Delta won the Jury and Audience Award for Best Foreign Documentary at the Columbia Gorge Festival (Vancouver, WA, USA) in August 2014, as well as the Best Film Award at the Memorimage Festival in 2013.
